CH Pedals doing weird things
« on: February 10, 2000, 01:38:00 PM »
Flew the FW190 offline for tests, everything smooth, no probs.  Then, jumped into a George for further tests, ground looped, no rudders, went to JS panel within AH and it showed no deflection to right, only left...went back out to windows, recalibrated thru Winstick, then back to AH, still can't get but 25% deflection to the right, full deflection to the left...any ideas?

This happened to me once. I calibrated the stick with my Gamecard III utility, then in Windows, went to fly AH and it was screwy.
I looked in the AH utility and it was the same as you describe. Killed AH. Went back to recalibrate Windows but I tested it first. It was fudged up in Windows too.
It took three more calibrations to work. Each time when I was done I would hit APPLY, then OK and close the control panel. Always close the panel between calibrations.
The third time it worked. And all has been okay since.

Rip,

Are you using a game port or the port on your sound card?  If a game port, is it speed ajustable like the thrustmaster gameport?

I remember when I was using the TM game port that if the knob for the speed adjustment got turned I would lose some input from my controlers.  Other than that I would say you had a pot go bad one you.

Thks for replies guys, I have the CH game card.
Follow up:

This has happened before: What I did to correct it was re-download the CH file, go through all 3 calibrations (had to do this twice for some reason) and now it works...

Yes Jbnace, it maps automatically to AH's keyboard set-up.

Hmmm interesting.

See my post "Rudder jamming full left" in this forum.

Glad to see I'm not the only one having this problem.
