Just one question...

All of the plain green sectors, ie: 10/8 through 14/8... Are they actually flat or are they just below a certain altitude?

SkyChimp03 your map will fail if you designed your fields around the terrain. Go back to the drawing board and contruct how you want the stragic placement of zones and fields will be layed out. Then after stragicaly laying out your strat for one country duplicate that country into 3. From there you do your land generation and then modify some of the basic layout alittle to accomidate the map.

It is a common problem with map being built that the terrain dictates the field layout. The strat and zones should dictate the terrain not the other way around.

I built donut :)

sorry SkyChimp03 if my original post did come accross too direct.

I'm glad your working on a map, and i hope all the best for it.

One thing about laying out terrain last in the proccess is it enables you to allow natural boundaires or terrain elevation to chanage the flow tacticaly on the map.  So this is a good thing, and somthing i didnt expect well creating donut or the person dantoo aswell.

If you follow hitech and skuzzy guidlines on map building and what you can and cannot do, you will have a high chance of getting the map accepted. Although if you need some constructive commets about the map and your field layout please dont hessitate about sending a picture jpg format to myself and i will pass it onto dantoo and we can get back to you on thing that will help. Just use the PM mechanics on the forum :)

Although, trouble with posting strat layout on the bbs typicaly gets very little reply on what should be done and shouldn't. Terrain images gets alot of suggestions, but although trying to accomidate all of them can cause problems.
