One of the problems with a two deminsional game is depth perception and it is difficult at times to determine who is chasing who but that should not deter you from warning the other person. I rather get 10 false 6 six calls where i'm chasing the boggy than not get one that kills me.

Also when you're saddled up , within 400yards, and getting ready to shoot, you have to focus on keeping visual contact on the enemy bogy in front of you and can't afford to look around and during that time period is when you rely heavly on your country men to watch your back because that is when your the most volunerable.

Please pull your head out. If you were in the military I'm sure you know what I mean.

It's easy to see who's close, just look at the range icons. It's easy to look behind you when you're saddled up, you just press a button. I give 6 calls whenever I can but it's never because I have to.

You insult people who have a different opinion of proper behavior in a game and you don't want to take personal responsibility. Unfortunately that's a common combination here.

***I disagree. I'd rather not get any 6 calls unless the guy giving is within 3k and can actually see what is going on.  A dogfight is a game of split seconds. If you are in a hard turn and get a check 6 call from someone who is at the absolute limit of icon range and you do anything other than stay in your turn the other guy can see the mistake and capitalize on it. Meanwhile the guy thats 6k away can't even tell who's behind who. A check 6 call like that can do more harm than help.****

***Again I disagee. Besides a quick glance behind me every couple of seconds the absolute last thing I do before I pull the trigger is check my 6.***

Furthuremore, the more people give 6 calls, the more it encourages others to do the same and before you know it everyone is landing kills.

*** I agree and don't get me wrong.  I give check 6 calls all the time. But, I only give them when I see who's doing what to whom. Not just arbitrarily to everyone in the area. In fact, if you get a check 6 call from some dude named Ren, you best be looking because you're about to die. Make your calls have value and please if you see me in a fight please don't give me a check 6 unless you know FOR A FACT that I've got some guy screaming up on my 6. Also, for most of the new guys, you might not know this but some old guys don't mind some guy screaming up their 6. It's a tactic designed to allow them engage. If you're interested in the SA part of it whenever you see some countryman in on some dude and you know he's on the bad guys 6 let him fight. IF you see someone scream in and saddle up on your countrymen THEN give him a check 6 and remember there is a lil delay in messages. Try and get the check 6 in by the time the bad guy is within 1k from your Countryman. Don't be afraid to give a check 6 but please take the extra second to see what the situation is before hitting the button.***

I hope this helps...

Sorry Ren, there's just something about telling me that I have no sense of loyalty, duty, or responsibility to others, because I think check 6 calls are a gift, that causes me to go on a wild destructive rampage instead of simply posting my objections to it.

No big deal. I was just thinking since this is a forum to discuss thoughts and ideas so new folks can learn their part within the Community it's kinda refreshing to have these topics get raised over and over so they can read it and understand what might be the best way to address each subject. IMHO a subject might be raised today but within a few weeks it's history on the boards and new folks show up and never get wind off it. The next thing they know, as in this instance, some dude is screaming at them for not giving a check 6 call. Nice introduction for a new guy who's just trying to stay alive....right?

Absolutely. Which is why the guy screaming that he didn't get a check 6 call should STFU. Newbies have enough on their plate without some horde warrior blaming them for his own failed SA.

I don't understand.....tell us how you REALLY feel....

Then tell me how your response is any different than his original statement and how both of you are contributing to the community with these posts?

Or, how's this you're a new guy that's just shown up and have never seen this forum. What's your first impression of the guys posting on here? About check 6 calls?

Come on guys. Let's get it together.

sheesh

Does this mean you're immune to irony?

I expect a new person reading this would understand to be grateful for check 6 calls and not feel bad if somebody yells at them for not giving a check 6 call.
