MS Force Feedback Pro and rudder control
« on: May 25, 2001, 04:35:00 PM »
I bought one 'cause it was same price as normal PrecPro2 and my old PrecPro is getting old.

System:
WinME, Dx8.0 and later Dx8.0a, MS FF pro and SB Live! Value with newest liveware.

Problem is if I use rudder its "All or Nothing" and after one hour messing with setup I still haven't found what is wrong.
I tried sliders in different positions, Poll interrupted both On/Off but nothing didn't help.
I was looking Joystick setup's window while moved stick and Roll/Pitch were smooth but when twisting stick the rudders line in window went from neutral to full even with very small twist. When I tried to use only a little rudder input all I got was "Don't move your controls so rapidly".

After some re-calibration it is better now. Just wondering why that stick won't center it self after I let my hands off from it ?

Nice, Can't even take off from field without that text. Thought stick works fine in CFS and some other games so maybe its just AH.

Staga,

Have this stick myself but on W98, DX7.0a, Yamaha. Works ok.

I dont know how it is relevant for you but couple of comments:

 - have u downloadaed latest stick SW from microsoft for it? that is MS SW control panel 2.0 + update (note: do not DL for FF2)

 - Auto stick centering depends on the Return To Center force setting on driver. Checked that?
