Lieberman was anything but a party guy - well, Democratic party anyway.

That's why I like him, heck I'm a California Republican and I sent Lieberman some money lol

Just surprised you could still make such an ignorant statement after what happened in Connecticut this year.   I don't mean to insult, but I suspect you are somehow incapable of acquiring new information, seriously.

Lieberman is the exception not the rule.  He had or has a certain amount of political clout and he can do what he wants when he wants.   Alot of those representatives in the House and Senate spend a lot of time kissing bellybutton and will vote the party line so they can get things they want for their states and district, and that goes for both parties national and state legislatures. Its called comprimise,  I'll kiss your bellybutton and vote for your bill even though I dont like it and its probably not good for everybody if you promise to get my district a highway construction or federal building contract.

Straight Republican ticket....with the possible exception of the governor's race.  Asa Hutchinson has made statements supporting the consolidation of small rural schools....like the one I taught at for a quarter of a century.  I may decline to vote in that race....but haven't entirely made up my mind.

politicians like leiberman and mcain are not really exceptions in my opinion... they are fence sitters.

Both have one thing in common...  they are middle of the road and will allways vote for bigger government.   They will never tilt the vote one way or the other tho.

look at liebermans voting record... the whole big deal is over support for a war...  look at his voting record tho... he votes lockstep for bigger govenment and socialism just like the rest of his party.

As speaker of the house, all it'd take is for bush and cheney to be killed at the same time and she is ... talk about going to hell in a hand basket quick

Speaker Pelosi and Reed....I shudder at the thought.

I'd really love to see Congressman Peter King become the Speaker of the house.  He is the man!

Wed, OCT 25th, Pete King responding to a caller's question on the Larry Elder's show..."Ofcourse there are problems with our Northern border, but the reason we must tackle the Southern border fiasco first, is because the RMP are actually compitent, and willing to help"

gotta love the guy!

gunslinger... the reason you wouldn't vote for kinky would be the exact same reason that you wouldn't vote for hillary... and... why rpm will vote for both hillary and kinky every chance he gets.

kinky is a sucker vote.  He may entertain you but the increased taxes and loss of freedoms won't be quite so funny.

And the Dems responded by cutting off his DNC funds and forbidding any fund raising on his behalf. Have you seen how squirrelly Dems get when asked about Lieberman?, his long time friends cant even publicly support him even if they think hes the best guy for the job because the DNC tells them they must tow the party line.

The republiclone RNC did the same thing to that guy in Arizona for simply criticizing Bush. Do a Google on Hastert, hes famous for punishing non lock steppers by yanking them off, or not giving committee seats, cutting their pork projects, ignoring their bills, holding 3am votes not inviting the 'trouble makers' who wont vote in lock step... you can read all about it.

The crime families give orders, they call "talking points", from the top and anyone who isn't a party robot gets dealt with.

BTW Lieberman is a low life DC native bottom feeder looking to hold on to his power at any cost, he shouldn't be allowed to soil the "Independent" title like he is.
