ug, if japanese get armor, coding time should be invested in tank destroyers such as the Ho-Ni.

or better yet, the KA-MI-SIA amphibious tank.

The TYPE 3 "CHI-NU" Medium Tank would most likely be the "Best" Japanese tank to model, even if it didn't see actual combat, as it at least had a 75mm gun.

DISCRIPTION:
Type 3 "Chi-Nu"
Weight :18.3 ton
Dimensions:5.73 x 2.33 x 2.61 mt
Armor (max) : 50 mm
Range : 240 km
Speed (max - route) : 39 km/hr
Main gun : 75 mm
Crew : 5

The Typ 3 "Chi-Nu" medium tank, produced in 60 units, was retained in Japan for defending the Homeland from the expected American invasion. When the Allies finally reached Japan, they were impressed by the good quality of this vehicle, unknown to them.

Ho-Ni had a 75mm, and a 50mm and a 105mm.

The Ho-Ni was a up-gunned "TANK DESTROYER" based on the Chi-Ha hull and machinery - not a "TANK" proper.

While a capable weapons system, and a welcome addition to AH - it would have a major disadvantage to air attack with it's almost fully open turret. The turret only had a front gun shield - not the almost enclosed type on US Tank Destroyers.

Still....I wouldn't mind seeing one sometime in AH's future. Any new armored vehicles would be a welcome addition.   :aok

Japanese armour was so weak, allies had to use HE rounds instead of AP.  AP just punched clean holes through the armour, one hole going in and one going out.  We need Panthers, Shermans, Fireflies, etc, long before a Japanese tank.

~Thirdly~

We need the vehicles built off the M4A3 SHERMAN chassie next like the following:

M4A3 Sherman  75mm
M4A3 Sherman  105mm Howitzer
M36B1 Jackson  90mm Anti-Tank Gun
Sherman Firefly VC  17pdr Anti-Tank Gun

or maybe also sometime in the future:

M4 Sherman "Calliope" Rocket Launcher
M4 Sherman Flame Thrower Tank
M4 Amphibious Tank

All could be had by simply changing the turret for each specific vehicle.

Well what you know! Here happens to be a post on the subject in case HTC happens to be looking.  :D
