Dave is the 1337!!!!!!:D

I've actually chucked my remote at the T/V after some things Bill O'Reilly said. Man I hate that guy.

This guy is desperate for ratings... He recently went to Oprah, Jay Leno, and last night Letterman to promote his book AND his show.  I believe he's still #1 on cable news but the viewer ratings might be slipping...

You think Dave won that exchange?

Hardly.   Nobody won, because Dave, like any true demo/libbie, would not answer the question, rather, tap danced and avoided making a commitment to anything, just as they cant commit to fighting terrorism.

I would rather have the balls the make a commitment and risk being wrong, then go through life afraid to commit to anything, or afraid to stand up for a belief.

Dave couldn't even figure out if he wants the US troops to succeed in Iraq.  Pathetic.

Nice:aok

If you "consertive/republicans" etc wouldn't get so offended and feel the need to back up your poster boy, you could laugh at some of this stuff.  Unwind, remember that it's not life and death.

I am not defending O'Reilly, anyone with even the slightest gift of comprehension and reading ability would have noticed I said "nobody won".  Not sure how that is construed as rushing to defend.

Rather, I just hate seeing the brain dead try to claim a false victory, or put lies up on the board.

I think the reality here is someone (1K3 and Dace) just realized they got spanked and when forced to think (hopefully not a painful new experience) and consider, they realized what I said was true.

O'Reilly...  Now THERE's a candidate for the "Whiney Lil' ***** Award."

It's not that I always disagree with what he has to say, because I don't...  But the way he says it...  I don't see any difference between him and a "limp-wrist whiney liberal" besides volume and agenda.

His whole debating strategy seems to be "if I talk louder then the other guy, I win."

I think Dave got him with a nice zinger :D

I don't know how any of you guys see a victory, for either side, in that exchange. What I saw went pretty much like this:

O'Reilly asked a question
Letterrman answered a different question
O'Reilly repeated the question
Letterman said he didn't have an answer

No thoughts exchanged, no agendas advanced, no points won or conceded. Not knowing is okay, but so was asking, so nobody really a point with the posturing. The fact that the crowd enjoyed it only confirmed that the dialog between lib and con is and always will be entertaining.

O'Reilly thought he had hit on the 'Are you still beating your wife?' kind of question.  It didn't work.

"Do you want USA to win the war in Iraq..." is not a trick question.
