They mounted them on jeeps...

The 75 mm M20 recoilless rifle weighed over 114 pounds and was almost 7 feet long. It was fired from the same tripod used with the M1917A1 .30 machine gun. Its HEAT projectiles were effective against four inches of armor at up to 7000 yards (meters) range, a considerable improvement over the M18 57 mm RR. The M20 was fielded in both the ETO and Pacific Theater during World War II in 1945.

Would be really cool to have recoilless rifles in game.

Fun to stalk a tiger trying to get around him.

So someone goes through the painstaking process of collecting 50 GV perks to up a Tiger tank. Then, some geek in a 50mph travelling perk-free jeep just zigzags upto the Tiger and blows it away in one shot?

 ..

 Sweet.

Perk it at 50 points, and then I'll agree.

The M20 recoilless rifle was a U.S. 75 mm calibre recoilless rifle used during the last months of the Second World War and extensively during the Korean War.

Think I would like something with a little more "Punch." Something like the M3 MGC TANK DESTROYER with the 75mm gun. Get in your shot and still be able to run like "HELL" if the need arises.   :D

If anyone is willing to go up against a "TIGER" in a Jeep or Half-Track they should be able to get them for free IMHO.  :aok

the thing about upping against any tank is hoping you get him before he gets you.

That's because you have to think like a "HUNTER" and get him when and where he doesn't expect it or work tactics with several other vehicles to take one out.

I have taken out TIGER's several times with the PANZER IV by working with other guys and using tactics to keep him busy or distracted while one of us moved in and took him out.

If you go in "head to head" with any superior tank in a slugging match you deserve whatever you get.

Half-track tank destroyers were utter death traps.  I remember reading about an old German soldier who had to fight the Russians in a half-track tank destroyer.  He said that they always drew the attention and fire of the enemy because they looked like a tank, yet they had very little armor.  A single shell would blow their vehicle up, and many of his comrades were killed trying to engage Russian tanks.  This old German soldier went on to say that it was a faulty design and a faulty philosophy, a deathrap.
