The sun is at the center of the universe.

I suppose you have no qualms with the experimentation done in the name of science by the nazis Aquashrimp?

if it is legal to kill children in the womb simply because they are unwanted, then we should be able to use embryos for stem cell research.  This is, as our wonderful leader Dick Cheney likes to say, a "no brainer".

Vote Yes to place supporters of stem cell research into congress, the courts, and the white house.

PS: Michael J. Fox has always been a thoughtful, honest and respectful person.

Of course it is perfectly legal in the US to conduct stem cell research, just not at taxpayer expense.

I'm talking about extended research of course. Some is being conducted on approved lines.

Whoa, ethics play a huge part in science.  But a glob of cells is not a human.  I'm being realistic here.  If an early stage embryo can contribute to improving the quality of life here in America, I think we should follow through with it.

Its the hang-ups of christian conservatives who believe that a blastula is equivalent to a person who are delaying progress.  Yet they don't have much of a problem sending our sons and daughters into battle.

I don't think the nazis considered the jews to be human either. Abortions are legal but I sure don't want any of my tax money paying for them nor should science be advanced by the killing of babies imo.

The absolute best stem cells come from embryos.  The other types are not as good, they can't differentiate as well.

What is our goal here, to save every single fetus?  No, our goal is to improve the quality of life for Americans.  50% of pregnancies end in spontaneous abortions.  These so called babies are really nothing more than a glob of cells at the time.

The hypocracy here is that the same people who want to save every single fetus are the same ones who dont want to provide healthcare, don't want to provide education, and have the 'pull yourself up by your bootstrap' mentality.  Quality, not quantity.

So, in review, you leave the thinking to us, and we'll leave the beer drinking and church tithing to you.

The" quality of life for Americans.  50% of pregnancies end in spontaneous abortions."

While I find 50% incredibly high, only 10% shout out :  It's okay to kill me when I have become more than jelly while it's not okay to use the jelly.

And...secondly...it's not all Americans. There is a whole globe out there, and while Americans may decide NOT to open up for the cure for Parkinson's disease, other nations might. So what to do? Yes, M.J.Fox goes to France ;)
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Anyone have thoughts on Rush's accusations that MJF was faking or exaggerating his symptoms?  That was the real news issue recently related to MJF+Rush.

joe six pack and the average soccer mom are mislead in thinking voting for a "jelly" minded dem will result in all cures instantly ... financial and medical.
all the stem cell research would be is another justification for those currently using abortion as it is most widely used today, as birth control

to use MJF in these ads is the equivalent of pulling a hideously burn victim or two out of the WTC and toss them into some national security ad for the republicans...

If you haven't seen the movie "thank you for smoking"... you should stop reading, rent it and watch it.

The Democrats don't want to find a cure for MJF. They need him just the way he is.

embryonic stem cell research will not cure MJF's disease, but it will elect democrats, and that's the bottom line.

Yep, same with parading military funeral pictures within your newspaper (like the New York Times is today)

It's funny, workers want too much money, because chinese work for 3 cents an hour and we have to make less so our companies won't go over seas. I wonder what will happen when chinese companies start their stem cell research and corporations over here need to keep up with the chinese.
