But the manager could also tell you where to sit and have you wait at the door until he was ready to seat you.

He might ask if you want smoking or non-smoking.  And your choices would be limited to what's on the menu or you could leave and go to another restaraunt.

In essence 'this is what we serve and how we serve it."   Your choice if you still choose to go in and partake of the service.

If it was outragous and was effecting the enjoyment of other patrions, you would be asked to leave, or at least not welcomed back.
