I find many people trying to have a dialogue, and make suggestions, whether they are viewed as good or not, and other's telling them to quit if they don't like it.  Hmmm, I wonder who ought to quit for the good of the game.

Hmmmm ..... waaaahs and talk of taking one's buck and spending in elfquest instead and the demise of the game and threats to HTC, etc, etc ... doesn't sound like dialogue. In light of the game still living after having read the same waaaahs reincarnated since patch one also show ... there's always gonna be someone who ain't happy and wants to blame someone else for it. But seeing there's always gonna be members that have been flying it for years who aren't pizzy  (at least there has been to date and I don't see the trend ending) ..... well hey. ;)

I miss alot of aspects of the MA.
Mainly, finding people I was just fighting.

I disagree with this statement that there are only a few vocal ones that are disgruntled over the changes. A lot of people have learned that when a change has been made HT will not change back no matter what.  I know a lot of people would state so but when you pounce on them like most have in this thread , are rude and just tell them to cancel their account why make the effort to try to improve the game paly. I know that if most businesses staff or owners were this rude they would not stay in business long.  I miss the large maps that had better GV action so I pick when I play. But I also am not out recommending the game like I used to to people I know play this type of game.  Word of mouth means a lot when it comes to new customers. I know thats how I got strted several years ago and now the 2 that got me started are hardly ever on since the change and the people I have told that have account are hardly on. So you few that keep telling people to cancel account may one day find you are the only few left. But it maybe that one of the goals was to limit peoples online time without actually putting a limit on it.

BigA--

Please realise that there is a huge difference between "people I know" and "people in general." That is true for the relative few who post here, and it is true for any circle of friends in the game.

Evidence posted elsewhere in these forums has pretty clearly shown that there HAS NOT been a decrease in players since the change. For every person who's left, it appears that at least one has returned.

Simaril,

I realize that there has been an increase since the change but you must also realize that there was advertising that came out about the same time. Which will account for some new players and how many will stay not just for 2 weeks or 6 months but for years  like many of the old timers. Many from Air Warrior days.

ROFLMAO:We  haven't changed the amount we advertise at all since long before the change.

Curious what your next assumption to try justify your position on the demise of AH will be.

I thought it would be a crappy idea,  but .......  I have been made to eat my words. It's working just fine (for me anyways) and appears to be welcomed by the majority.

I whined a couple of weeks back when the LWA was first set up to ship you over to LW2 if LW1 was full.  The further tweeking of the caps and the ".sr" command has definitely soothed that issue and I actually think HTC has done a pretty remarkable job of making all this workable.  I believe the game is better overall now than it was before.

I, too, had a negative initial knee-jerk reation to the changes... but...I stuck with it... and have since enjoyed playing in all of the arenas and have learned to change sides to balance play. As a result, I have met many more fine folks in AHland and have enjoyed my time online much more than previously.

It really is up to you to make your own fun in Aces High; this is the lesson I learned from this change. HiTech gives you the tools to use...if you choose not to use them and resist using them...then you are spoiling your own fun.
