Weather?
« on: November 02, 2006, 01:01:53 PM »
I'm sure this has been brought up once or twice but I was in the Special Events Arena last night and did the "Snap Shot" deal and noticed Snow, thick clouds, and the ocean even had ripples.  I just thought this was cool and would like to see more of this kind of terrain in the MA's.

It is getting to boring upping on a bright sunny day with no weather related challenges.  Not every day during WWII was blue skies, green grass, & sunny!!!

Try Microsoft Flight Simulator X, I hear it has all kinds of weather options.

p.s. Why would you want bad weather?   Do people who play racing games ask for lightining and thunderstorms during the races?  Is that like having a sexual fantasy but including fat ugly chicks, just for variety?

Ratt weather would be a nice touch.... however it is a large hit on the frame rate..... so many would be grounded in such an event.

:noid Weather?  I love having weather, it makes for a extra challange in the game.  Ever try landing in rain or some ground fog.

ya weather would be sweet, i know some systems would suffer frame rate loss and such.  maybe toggle on/off would make it work, dunno.

landing in bad weather once we had 700ft of clearance between the runway and a  2 mile high, 100mile wide overcast. scared the crap out of me as the landing strip was another 200ft above the surrounding landscape and this little c152 was bumping all over the place. strangely enough, the water logged runway provided more grip than a dry one, and the landing was easy as pie....... for my instructor, god bless him :D
