Beta12 wont initialize

When I attempt to initialize Beta12 from "Start Menu", I get the following message;  "-9mainWLD-failed-1" My system consists of the following;plll 733mz,128mb ram,directx8.0voodoolll,soundblaster. I,ve got video set for 1200x1600,16 bit. Please help,i,m very interested in new sound environment.  BIGTORCH[a
