First flight for this restored Spitfire Vc Trop was today.  This is how they went off the Wasp to Malta in 42.

Kev's gonna be on the case soon no doubt :)

4 cannon Spit would break a lot of hearts wouldn't it :)

Guppy, did they leave the 303 gunports on the wings and just cover them over with tape like on the reproduction when the 4 cannon were fitted?  or were they actually sealed over?

Oooohhh.

Never arrived like that though as we know.

4 cannon Spit LF Vc is whats missing :)  (cropped and clipped), hell I'd even settle for a std 20+.303 LF Vc clipped and crooped.

Rounds per gun? Drum fed or belts?  Pardon my ignorance...

If like our Spit V, and it had drums (that right?) and was only 4 x 60 rounds, then I don't see it as a huge improvement.

However, if it was loaded like a Hurri IIc or our Typhy...what a monster! :t

Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.
