113th Lucky Strikes Recruiting

Did you just get shot down with 20 other Knights team members all around you and not one “check Six” call for the third time? Did you just fly troops to an airfield that has been under attack for three hours by 25 to 35 Knight Member only to find the town is totally untouched? Are you tired of the endless fur balls? Are you tired of not being covered by your wingman? Would you like to play on a Knight Squad that enjoys capturing and holding territory? That actually tries to win the war?

If you are looking for more organized game play?  If you would enjoy flying missions with specific targets and goals and yes even perhaps returning from a mission alive. Then take a look at the 113th Lucky Strikes, because we are looking for you. The 113th takes a more organized approach to the game. Following a lose military chain of command. The 113th’s approach to game play is geared more towards team work and mission success rather then individual point score or fur balling. As a result the 113th is not for everyone.

Types of mission: Fighter Sweeps, Bombers missions, Bomber escorts and Fighter attack missions and GV missions using as detailed a mission profile that the game allows.  Mission briefings generally include flight element assignments and Routes, Alt’s, Targets, IP’s egress and rendezvous waypoints, plus all comm channels used.

Types of aircraft used: appropriate for the mission flown. The 113th uses the P38L as its primary aircraft, however, sometimes different missions call for a mix of different aircraft.

Check us out in the LWA on Vox 113 or contact Gunston CO or Traveler XO.  If you are interested in maximizing your game play enjoyment.

onward toolshed warriors marching off to war.........:aok

Have fun, you payed your nickel and you have every right to have it your way. However there are alot of knights just like me that chk 6 and clear 6's regardless of "squad affiliation".....but then I cant recall the last time I had 20 other knights around either.....hell I'm lucky to have 2 or 3. Personally I think you ought to be a rook squad....they have a well established toolshed/horde community....unless of course you prefer to fly at 25k or above in which case you'd be better of as a bishop squad:)

The entire purpose of the original thread was for “ Recruiting “ .   I understand that you don’t enjoy the type of play that we do in the 113th, but why would you want to have us change sides just because you don’t like the way we play?  I have to wonder why you are even looking in the Recruiting posts in the first place.  We are just looking for others that want to fly as we do.  Why you feel it is even necessary for you to even comment is really beyond me.

113th and good luck with your recruiting.

It is lame that 2 members of another squad came here to dump on your squad and your recruiting efforts.

The RAF71st used to be a respected squad.

Actually I wasnt baiting or being demeaning in anyway at all. My comments were a straight forward response to your post.....

1st your maligning the country you "fly for"...

did you just get shot down with 20 other Knights team members all around you and not one “check Six” call for the third time

As I stated most knights readily chk 6 and clear bogies. I find your observation to be inaccurate and unfair.

Did you just fly troops to an airfield that has been under attack for three hours by 25 to 35 Knight Member only to find the town is totally untouched

The knights do have a high number of seasoned flyers and were probably enjoying the furball. Often we find the unwanted intervention of toolshedders an annoying problem....so I suggested you switch to the Rooks....land of the toolshed horde.

If you would enjoy flying missions with specific targets and goals and yes even perhaps returning from a mission alive

Funny how many squads you see land a group of 15, 20, 30 or more kills....or roll a base in 20 min when the mood strikes. But you of course can do it better....

Read your original post, you spend more time talking negatively about "your" countrymen then you do about who you are and what you want to accomplish. Basically you lost me at hello:).....

As for the 71st, anyone who flies with us or around us knows we dont leave our own (or another knight) hanging out to dry. We cap/jabo/bomb/goon and defend as well or better then any squad in the game. We also treat our fellow knights and opponents with respect. Very rarely if ever do we talk trash act rudely or fail to give a heartly salute both as the victor or vanquished in a well fought fight.

Your opening statement basically is nothing other then trash talk and I responded accordingly. Show me you deserve respect and I'll gladly give it....

good response snap, think you got it all...

as for 71 'once being respectable', i think the squad is even more respectable now than it was a year ago. the squad's most imortant value is fun and humor though, something it seems a lot of you guys seem not to experience in this great game and community.

to each his own, but just know we weren't bashing you, i was just having a bit of fun, sorry if you took anything bad out of it, and snap was replying honestly to the original post which was really just a bit of a whine about the knights.

traveller, if you don't get check sixes, or the guys you're flying with can't get things done, you're probably flying with a noob horde with no clue. i'm sure you'd be more than welcome to come and fly with 71 for a few sorties if you liked, do a few attack missions together :)
