Question for you Brits or English or whatever you call yourselves.

In the other thread Hammy made fun of Biggles for being a Southerner.  Now in the US, we do this too.  From the North, you're a Yankee.  From the South, you might be called a red-neck.

What are the appropriate epithets for persons from another region in Great Britain?

Northerners  would call us southern softies

us southerners however are better educated and tend to refrain from name calling (much).

Great Britain is nowhere near the size of america but you would be amazed at the diversity of accents.

Wurzels from summmmersett
cockney nutjob geezers
everywhere near the middle sound weird brummies, leeds, yorkshire,
welsh   have their own bloody language
scousers   liverpool
geordies  newcastle   champion like
scots  etc
pikey irishmen

Generally we Texans think of Yankees (northerners) as being like hemroids...

They come down and go back up they are ok

They come down and stay down and they are a pain in the aXX
