well, i don't predict that it will take any less time for the velocity that peloski's dems have garnered to turn wayyyyy left in the same way that the gingrich's republican revolution swung too far to meet the butts of its right wing fundementalist base, but i can at least sleep a bit better at night knowing that they are going to cancel each other out for awhile.

in the meantime, i am going to be working on grass roots efforts to get a libertarian into local office.

(been trying to get my significant other to run...i think she could take it.)

in a way i feel relieved because it has felt so much like a fundementalist minority had taken over the deck of the ship and locked the door and now it is open and another group of people are breathing a bit harder down the captains neck.

doubt he will do it, but i would love to see a shake up in the white house.  he has like six months left to make things happen then it's over.

i wish them all the best of luck and pray that we can start moving forward a bit more again as a country rather than spending a bunch of time pointing sticks at each other.

all in all.  probably the best of all outcomes if you happen to be a moderate.

At least it will be nice to get Iraq out of the news for a couple of years, even if nothing changes there. Too bad the democrats won't be able to use it effectively come 2008.

Good luck with it man, nothing would make me happier than to see a few libertarians in office to really give the two DC crime families a moster headache.

People say libertarians / independents dont have any experience, fair enough, but neither did the dudes who wrote the constitution.

"..government of the people, by the people, for the people...", how many of the anus-clowns in .gov are "regular people " these days?, when is the last time anyone in congress went to the market to feed a family on a budget, registered a car with DMV, or had to deal with the daily grind of being a middle class working stiff?

Thats why I like libertarians, they're mostly regular folks sick of the BS that emanates from the spoiled .gov clones.
