When asked what their plans were you'd get a bunch of "We need a change" but no real plan was ever outlined.

So, they win this MID TERM election and now have a slight majority in the House and Senate. In two years when the BIG elections come up the people are going to see if the Democrats have been able to do anything worth while or just continue down the road they've been on of blaming the Republicans for everything.

I have a feeling the next 2 years are going to make the next elections very interesting when people start looking at what has or has not been delivered by the Democrats.

I was amazed by the DNC's webpage. No plan, no goals outlined, just artical after artical about what was wrong with the Republican party. The GOP webpage by contrast actually had the issues laid out and the partys position on those issues defined. Goals were laid out and the reasons behind them.

Maybe it's just me but every die hard Democrat I've ever met has only been able to do one thing well and that's point a finger at something or someone and tell me "they" are at fault and "they" are the reason the country is so messed up. Whenever I'd ask what the Democrats planned to do to fix the problems the usual answer was along the lines of "The first thing we have to do is fix what "they" broke". That would continue in a relentless circle untill I'd get so frustrated I would walk away.

But like I said. I'm glad they won. They have 2 years to prove they can do more than finger point and lay blame. Show me some positive results and I might be impressed but I don't see it happening.

Well, the Democrats won, I'll be waiting for the change, last good change we had here was when Mt Trashmore got the facelift

What we have now are checks and balances in place. 1 party in total control is bad, no matter what party it is.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

I musta missed that part where they promised any "progress" other than repeal the tax cuts and raise minimum wage.  As the supposed "progressive" party all I've ever seen them do is try to protect failed Democrat programs like affirmative action, high taxes, and the welfare state.  Can anyone name a successful Democrat program or plan that's passed in the last 30 years, other than to successfully cast US elections as the most corrupt in the world, and except when they win of course.:lol

Now that the dems are in control of the House and Senate, no American will go jobless...No more taxes to the lower class...Salary CAP of $73,000 a year, so we disband the "income class system".  War on Terrorism/Iraq will be over in a month....Osama Bin Laden will be caught...We will have a new source of energy within 14 months, and all street signs will be in both english and spanish so we can be culturally sensitive

Well, that I know of, Bush didn't lie to a grand jury like Clinton did causing him to get impeached.

He was impeached for two counts, lieing to a grand jury and obstruction of justice.  Only the second President in US history to be impeached.

Impeached by the House, acquitted by the Senate.

An impeachment is nothing more than formal allegations. It's the trial that matters, not the charge.
