We all know that the scoring system leaves alot to be desired and is usualy no idication of how good or bad some one is and HTC has made changes to offset people who have abused the scoring system in the past. Such as using b17's etc as fighters for base deffense, now when your using a bomber for it's intended purpose and you have to shoot down a fighter to stay alive, you don't get any points for it any more.
Here is my complaint:
People who have a low ranking in bombers usually have a very high bombing % of 12-15%. They get this by upping a single bomber like a Stuka with a single bomb and fly to a factory that is fairly safe from being intercepted by an enemy con and has a dozen or so structures extremely close to each other so that when they drop their bomb, they can get a dozen or so destroy messages. Other than upping a few goons for base capture, that's all they do. They don't bomb cities, hangers or cv's because to do so requires dropping multiple bombs just to get one destroy message, yet they are hailed and rewarded as top notch bombadiers. I classify myself as an expert bombadier because I can use the minimal amount of ordanance to drop a given structure, meaning that I use a delay of .05 and the minimum salvo as oppose to the carpet bombing technique, yet I can't come anywhere close to these guys ranking wise and I feel I'm being punished/ Handicapped because I play the game as oppose to just score whoring, trying to be a team player as opposed to, well, score whoring. So my recommendation is that the bombing% be restricted to 1.0 or 100%, you either destroy something or you don't. If you destroy 15 buildings with a single bomb, you get the points for destoying those structures but your % is only 1.0 not 15. The only people who attack factories are those trying to pad their scores. Noone attack factories for the strategic value anymore so why reward them for it. Reward people for being team players.
