Hey HT/Pyro/et all HTC development staff

One of the recent 'trends' a lot of software gaming companies are doing are allowing their staff to post into a developers blog where they can talk about what their doing, challenges they face, and often screens of the progress they're making.

One of the most frustrating things about being a fan of Aces High, is not knowing what's going on.  A lot of us are curious as to how you're developing this sim we love, and without any information other than the few tibits we get from the main page, that's it.  And the enemy of all information, is the lack of it.

The 'two weeks' joke here isn't necessarily a positive development award. It's earned cause a lot of us don't really know whats going on.  We don't need step by step info, but something is better than nothing.

Then again, this is your sim, your product and you can do whatever you want with it.  But I think this would help your community understand some of the challenges you face, and give you a positive conduit to your loyal fans.

Cheers.

Rolled into the office about 10:30am, prozac is kicking in now so I can start working.  Say Hi to NateDog but he's already drunk and just continues singing "Funky Cold Medina".

Break for lunch at 11 ask HT if he wants to come.  But he came into work in his jammies so most restaurants won't let us in.

Coded up some CT stuff - added the German Dwarf and Elf races.  2pm - time for happy hour.

SuperFly threw his monitor through the window again.  Something about a Photoshop layering bug.  Have to stop buying him the 27" plasmas tho.

I wish Pyro would stop carrying that AK-47 around the office and glaring at me.  I brought it up with HT and he said I'm safe until he starts pointing his finger at me and grimacing.

Alpha testers have quit en-masse.  Say dogfighting against the dragon isn't "WW2-ish".  They're just mad 'cause they couldn't find the +4 30mm loadout in the Spitfire factory.

Oh well, it's 2:30 and I'm already late for happy hour.

Seriously
Honestly, Mr Fork, with such a small shop we don't have enough time to support your idea in any satisfying way.

Can I be a dragon? Or a German elf?

BTW...tell Natedog to give my "Tone Locs greatest hits" cassette back ASAP.

Hey Sudz,

Glad you responded and I completely understand the challenges you guys have as a small shop.  It's the small shops though that benefit the most from a developers blog.  Besides, wouldn't it be nice to have a place where you can vent?  I mean, even Pyro could talk about why he's carrying around the Chinese knock-off AK-47.

Seriously though, Pyro has to stop shooting blanks at Skuzzy's Lada.  I mean, the poor car has enough issues already and Skuzzy hasn't had a decent ride in years, off-line or online.   Seriously.

:D
