F4U-1A; should it be in Mid-War arena?
« on: November 16, 2006, 03:16:51 PM »
I think it should, inasmuch as it was a contemporary of the P-38J.

First delivery of the F4U-1A with R-2800-8W engine was in November of 1943. First delivery of the F4U-1A with R-2800-8 engine (no water injection) was August of 1943.

First delivery of the P-38J-5-LO was in September of 1943.

If she is I wouldn't be surprised to see a perk on her. I'm waiting for the Late War perk whiners to start in on her, lol!
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

No doubt. And I bet she'll shut up the "F4U-4 doesn't need a perk!" whiners REAL quick.

Someone the other night compared her to the Spixteen as far as how stacks up with the rest of the F4U-1s. Although I'm not sure I like the dweeby connotation of that. :p

Oh well. At least she's still a Hog and not an EZ-mode dweeb fighter.

You still got the -1 for MW, I saw the -1A can go in LWA, not that I care too much.
