Ok I had to ask why does the clipboard have
"BBQ was Delicious" at the bottom?

I figured it was because HTC in in Texas, and Texans will BBQ to celebrate anythng (like finishing a new patch). Having lived in Texas myself (went to school at UT), I just hope HT had sense enough to go up to Tennessee to get some real BBQ instead of the mesquite-soaked Texas wannabe BBQ...

1. Because we feel roasted lately.
2. Because some one sent us a gift card for BBQ.
3. Because we are from Texas.
4. Because we like to BBQ obnoxious BBS posters.
5. Because we think all players are pigs.
6. Because we ran out of time and couldn't come up with any thing else?
7. Because HTC purchased a BBQ franchise.
8. Because we were just in a saucy mood.
9. Because Skuzzy tripped over the cord again and roasted the servers.

Eagle: Have had Tennessee BBQ many times. Spent a lot of time working on job sights there.

Memphis BBQ rocks, if you haven't been to the area and don't know what I'm talking about you need to. There are people in this area who do nothing but BBQ all year long and have their own portable pits they pull around the country BBQing for living. Some of the BBQ around here will turn a Vegan back into a pig consumer! <>

I got educated on BBQ by a friend of mine who went to BBQ school and bought one of the mega-trailer pits (dang thing will smoke a half-hog). After going to the BBQ school a few times, he hooked up with the teachers and now helps teach the course and spends his time going to BBQ competitions (not bad for an ex-Navy cook). His pulled pig finished 2nd up here last summer (he got robbed - the other BBQ school had flygirls passin out free samples), and his brisket and chicken were top notch too.

I'm with you - Memphis BBQ #1. I know a couple of roadside stands near Knoxville that'll blow your socks off too though. Carolina BBQ isn't bad for a change of pace now and again if you can take the vinegar.

Hmm.... 12:13pm and now all of the sudden I feel hungry

Whose bright idea was it to start this food channel thread anyway...
