Why was Channel 1 brought back? (Not complaining, I actually prefer it to 200).

You know you've been playing AH a long time when you have to explain to someone what Channel 1 is. Had someone PM me asking how they could see what I was saying even though I was on a different country.

channel one has always been there, it just isn't enabled in the MA's

I found Channel 1 enabled in EW, not that sure about the other arenas.
And I do prefer 200, because you can turn it off

How do you turn it off? I was enjoying EW and MW recently, but channel 1 was changed to 200 for just this reason, wasn't it? Just fills your text buffer with the same annoying arguments and whining.

Just tune it to another channel. I think thats how I turned it off back in the day.

Wrong.

It is not tuneable. You see it even if it is not selected in any radio. You cannot turn it off, which is why I asked in the wish forum to make it optional. The only option is to squelch, and squelch and squelch...

I think eliminating channel 1 in favor of a tuneable choice was a very welcome decision for many.

It was untunable back when. Guess not now.
