Yes the US has a presence in Europe and vice versa. Its the Nato alliance (that btw is a defencive alliance) and it is in many ways a success story. There is nothing controversial about that system.

So adding a few more billlions in medication, refugee help and security in africa would not save more lives than attacking Iraq?

Again.. nobody things its a bad thing that Saddam is gone, but for how long is a Saddam type person really gone from Iraq? Removing him was removing a syptom not the cause. When the US and GB has gone the cause will still be there and the spmptom will return in another form.

Oddly.... if it were christians who said that anyone who showed a drawing of jesus would die... the leftwingers would be pulishing pictures every day and the ACLU would be making schools have posters of jesus and textbooks with his likeness..

If the christians made women were veils the lefties would be apopleptic and jon stewart would  be making faces at his audience about it nightly...

If christians stoned women to death or didn't allow em to vote or drive or own property... the democrats and lefties would be calling for a ban on christianity.

The lefties hypocracy knows no bounds.

You'll find people are more religious the poorer they are.  Inject some economic prosperity into the system, and religious fanaticism swings back to moderation.

For every conservative on staff at Fox I'd bet there are at least 3 other "journalists" elsewhere in the US that are hard core liberal.

Would that not have made the US, the western world and the poor/sick alot safer than the billions that are just wasted in Iraq.

As an added bonus you would not have the rapid recruitment of potential terrorists, criminals and corruption that starting a war in Iraq have brought.

I hope your not saying that the US would have put one more red cent into feeding the poor if they didn't dump it into Iraq.

Ya never now, our armies might be sitting in North Korea or Iran instead.

But you know... we could just take the Iraq oil and help feed the poor with the money from that I guess...
