Has anyone else noticed a change in the distance at which you see things since the new patch?

Were the visibility settings reset to default with this patch?

Before this patch I could be at 10K and see a CV quite a ways away.  Last night I'm flying at 10K and looking for a CV when "BOOM BOOOM BOOM"...I got CV ack going off all around me.  I'm almost right on top of the CV and never saw it.  I turned away and noticed that the ship disappeared from my view A LOT sooner than before this patch.

Anyone else experiencing the same?

Bug.

HT found it.

In the next patch.

Btw is partially a bug, terrain /ground features will remain as they are now.

This was done for a major increase in FPS when zoomed in and in F4 mode.

hope it gets fixed as it's harder for me to see things on the ground now, unless i'm really close, got full vis range on etc, in fact, not  changed any settings from the last patch, I can see the base, but not the hangers etc till I'm right over it, even with full zoom on.

Not sure how to interpret that...I can hit tanks at 2800 yards, but rounds are exploding in apparent invisible trees above their heads:confused: ---that gonna change next patch?  I have EVERY possible graphic detail in game set to max

I'm a little confused now too. Having to play around with detail settings to see things, but my framerates are suffering. What exactly was changed?

You need to fix your cache as Kev posted, after I did that my frame rates increased an average of 10 to 20 fps of pre-2.09 frame rates.

:huh

So will I still be able to see a CV in the distance like I did before this patch when the partial bug is fixed?
