GPU issues
« on: November 19, 2006, 08:46:23 PM »
i got a new GPU (GeForce 6800 XTX) and i did it mostly for the 256MB of memory (FEAR just dont work on 128MB of VRAM) i overclocked it some using coolbits(NVtweak, whatever you want to call it) and set it to 440MHz Core clock and memory to 1.2Ghz.

i then went to 3DMark06 and i decided to hit details for some reason and saw that it said my GPU core was still 350(its default) and memory was 1.2 GHz(which was correct according to what i selected)
so i ran the benchmark anyways, there was an increase in proformance, but not as much as i suspected would happen. i decided maby for some reason it needed to restart to work,

nope didnt work, it says that the speeds are 351 MHz core(which is incorrect according to what i specified) and 1.2GHz memory (which is correct)  in fact in all 3DMarks, and rivatuner all say the same thing, and i dont have any other programs that will ever tell you your GPU clocks.
i am using forceware Version 91.47 ( i HAVE to use them i occasionally use WIndows Vista RC1)
