Happened three times yesterday. I just got new puter up and running so don't know where to start. I downloaded high resolution pack so I might start looking there. Any help or knowlege about any bugs or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Check your dxdialog.exe and the sound should be set to a maximum of 3/4.

I've read some comments since the 2.09 and patch that people believe recent experiences with freezes and stutters are probably due to the hi-res pack being present. I don't know myself - just what I've been reading here.

how do i uninstall the high res pack?

It's not the hi-res pack, it the games skin cache isn't working.

Two solutions until patch is released -

1) Disable skins in-game

2) Takes a little longer -

a) delete cache
b) start game
c) cache partially rebuilds
d) goto the hanger and go through every plane and skin, you dont have to fly them, just view them in the hanger.
e) restart game
