When I launch AH all I get is a blue screen and I have to go to task manager to shut it down. Has anyone got a clue as to how I can fix this so I can run Ah in 2000? I have done a complete reinstall and still the same results.

What type of system and video card?

IMO...I would first:

1) Check for MS updates

2)From Help>>FAQ's:
When I try to play AH, I get a BSOD - "Blue Screen of Death."
Usually this is caused by trying to run AH with a version of Direct X older than 6.1. Download 8.0a from www.microsoft.com/directx.

3) If you have a Voodoo card:
The main cause of this problem is an incorrectly selected color depth. If you have a Voodoo card the maximum color depth is 16 bit (High Color). To reset your color depth, delete your video.cfg file in your ../HTC/Aces High/settings directory. When you restart AH select no greater than 16 bit color. Other video cards may also have this issue. The solution is the same as above.

AG, whats your error message say? Is it a "page fault in VXD<insert more junk>"?

I've no experience with troubleshooting games under Win2k, I'd first of all check for updated drivers for your video card and possibly sound card. Also, download the newest version of DirectX at http://www.microsoft.com

If those don't work, make sure your monitor is set up as a plug and play monitor, and check under device manager to make sure that you only have 1 video card and 1 monitor listed there (never seen that cause a BSD, but I've seen it cause problems in other games).

I can probably think of more stuff later, try that stuff first.

Ok I have installed latest drivers for all hardware. I am just going to do a brand new install and wipe drives. It is hosed so not dicking around with it anymore. Hopefully I will be fying tonight. I did an upgrade instead of a full install and it seems that s my prob right now. Thanks for info and hopefuly i will be flying tonight.
