He is actually not a cop, but a mentally handicapped guy who volunteers at the station.

I commend all who were there to keep a straight face. I would have lost it.

Speaking of which...I can remember a time when my brother and sister, and myself joined my mother in church one sunday. Probably mothers day.

My sister is oldest with one kid, my brother is youngest with one kid..I have none...but whenever we get together we all seem to act like we are 12 again. There was a couple at the church that played instruments. A duet. The instruments...a french horn, and a fiddle.

ABout a third of the way into the song..which sounded like a cat being disemboweled by a lighthouse, I could sense the tension among my siblings. I happened to glance out of the corner of my eye, just as my brother did the same to me. I heard my sister doing the stifled laugh thing...I lost it. I had to walk out. My brother followed. Somehow my sister was able to make it through it. My brother and I had to go outside and around the back of the church where we hooted and howled until it was out of our system.

Not proud of it..but a funny memory all the same.

I was in a wedding once.  My friend was his brother’s best man.  Just before the wedding I showed them a book that had this nose art on it.  We couldn’t stop laughing in the back room of the church.  It was hard as heck to keep from laughing while at the alter.  I had to whisper to my friend/roommate, “Just think about our house burning downright now.”
