So who's a Ron White fan?
« on: November 20, 2006, 05:08:25 PM »
So last June I board a flight in Boston on my way out to Dallas, for the AH Con. Guy next to me is reading a book and laughing out loud every 3 minutes. After an hour of this I ask this guy..."what's so funny?" Guy says, "I'm reading Ron White's book...Tater Salad." He begins to read me the book and now we're both laughing like idiots. By the time we were wheels down in Dallas I almost peed my pants.

Last night I caught Ron White on Comedy Channel with his show..."You Can't Fix Stupid"  Haven't laughed so hard in years. This dude is FUNNY.

Ron White and Lewis Black should do a show together and call it "Black and White".

"I got thrown out of a bar in New York City....."

"and I threw out my back because my health club is the International House of Pancakes...."

Both funny guys.

I saw a repeat of an old comedy central show "at the improv" or something like that from 1989 or so... he did the "I got thrown out of a bar in Las Vegas" version, plus much of his current material.

funny thing was, he had a long curly red mullet lol!

Ya gotta like Ron White!

I have always been a Ron White fan, going well back before he was "famous".

I opened for Ron at Charlie Goodnights in Raleigh, NC back in the summer of 1994.  We first met in Charlie Goodnight's "Green Room"...the fire escape off the kitchen which was the only place performers could go to  smoke then.

Only scant traces of his material from back then survives to his current act...mainly stuff about his growing up in TX and about his dog "Sluggo", who more than likely is the "late" Sluggo by now.

Odd this thread popped up. I was talking to some friends and they said they heard he died today. I've found nothing so far other than him cancelling a few gigs lately. Anyone heard this??

Ron White Dead? not unless laryngitis can kill ya.

http://www.14wfie.com/Global/story.asp?S=5685271&nav=3w6o

SMG Evansville says comedian Ron White has laryngitis.

The popular, wise-cracking White is a regular on Comedy Central's feature, "Blue Collar Comedy".

His appearance in Evansville, scheduled for Saturday, November 17th, is being moved to Saturday, February 3rd, 2007 at the Centre.

Tickets already purchased will be honored at that time. But if you'd like a refund, take your tickets to the place of purchase.

Tickets are still available at The Centre Box Office, all Ticketmaster locations or online at http://www.ticketmaster.com.  To charge by phone, call 812-423-7222.

And by the way, Ron apologizes for the inconvenience and says he looks forward to seeing his fans in February.

Ron White is hilarious.

Before he was a comedian, he was a bull rider.  A rough one at that.

Ever look at his teeth?  All fake.
