Whats up with the..

F4u-1d ?...no bubble top and appears to be an F4u-1a with a
slightly different skin.

errr, yeah, and the problem with that is?

no corsairs had bubbletops. the 1D was very similar to the 1A

Major ..after checking into it..u are partially right :)
according to my book, the 1d reverted back to 50s from the bs
20mm and could carry 1 1k bomb. You are however incorrect when
you say no f4u had the bubble top. According to my book, the
4C and and the 7 had bubbles..Oh well..
