Hehe.  Poor bastige.

He gets called a terrorist by angry mobs.........

His daughter gets her purse stolen in Argentina, right under the noses of the Secret Service guys guarding her............

One of his daughter's Secret Service agents gets the poop knocked out of him in Argentina in a fight .........

His plane breaks down in Vietnam ...............

While in Hawaii, his Director of Travel gets beaten up in a Waikiki nightclub, and 3 of the motorcycle officers escorting him to his plane crashed............

Maybe somebody is trying to tell him something?

Thank goodness I'm drinking tea today.  Carbonation is rough on the nose.

One was in critical condition.  I really hope he pulls through, but its going to be rough for him.  One of the other two was seriously hurt, but should make a full recovery.  The last had only minor injuries.  All due to poor road conditions.

Just an update on the critically injured motorcycle officer.......

Police are asking for people to give blood, as the hospital has already gone through over 100 pints of blood trying to save him.  He may still lose his leg.  He flatlined twice already.  He's still in critical, but stable condition.

The officer is 30 yrs old, has been a police officer for 8 years, and has 3 or 4 kids (not sure if the recent baby is one of the 3 or a 4th).

A 100 pints? Or a 100 units? At 100 pints, he'd have lost the entire contents of his system about 10 times. That's a lot of blood. About 12
gallons.

At any rate, my prayers are with him and his family.

I may have had that wrong.  I do know that he kept losing blood even after initial surgery due to a cut artery in his leg.  They didnt find that and fix it until today.  They said they are now "critically short" on supplies of blood.

That's pretty common in leg injuries, especially above the knee, where the femoral artery is. It passes a massive volume of blood, a cut femoral can bleed you out in seconds. We had an officer here (not in my department, and after I left the department anyway) who shot himself in the thigh. A week later they took his leg. They never could get the femoral to stop leaking.

Like I said, my thoughts and prayers to him. It's a tough spot to be in.
