I need some advice about film editing

Hey guys, I have a film from which I need to cut out a few scenes.
However, I have know idea how to do that.

The film is not AH related.
Can anyone help me?

A slight problem,

I have NEVER edited a movie before, so you can understand I have no experience with editing programs.
Unless there's a VirtualDub for Dummies step-by-step explanation, I don't know what to do!

trust me, it's easy. just select the frames you want to cut out and cut them out, it's even got undo feature and you can remove audio.

you can edit any video in a windows compatible codec, and can even use it with Windows Movie Maker; which is even simpler.
