If your looking at it for the air war dont bother.

Ground war is great if you know whats going on. Find someone who will teach you everything.

Read and watch this stuff while its downloading and installing...

You could have had your answer immediately and with less typing if you would have just Googled it.  Even MSN search returns the right webpage as the #1 return on a search.

played it for a year and a half or just about...

step learning curve, real fun though...

air war is none existant, its video game style, just couldn't get into it. probably because I played AH too long...

I was into tanks and sniper rifle and of course the 88, in the end I was a bad *** sapper, always wanted to do that...

pro's

great fun once you get used to it...  ex: 20 Tigers, 30 Panzer attack on a big city(with air support)...damn that was fun

con's

some lag, hard to understand at 1st, no air per say, and need a GOOD graphics card/machine...the big one is the GERMANS always win, Allies have bad equipement and not enough players...

try it, you might enjoy it...

Red Orchestra rocks. except for one o the developers hates the mg-42 and has porked it from a lethal machine of death dealing to a full auto red ryder with a cone of fire the size of massachusetts.

i disagree with some here, i still like ww2online, and i like the Airwar part too,
maybe its not easy to get Kills & Rank, but thats why alot people write
dont bother hehe.
If you are an expirienced virtuall combat Pilot, you will do good in ww2ol, if you
are a newbie it can be hard for you! ;)

This thread reminds me of what my wife asked me the other night, "Hey, what's the name of Freddie Prinze, jr.'s dad?"

jUST TRIED TO DOWNLOAD THIS (14 DAY TRIAL NOW), oh dang, caps lock, - and it broke down after 87%, grrrr.
Anyway, the download does not work now but I'm gonna try.
How does WW2OL compare to battlefield BTW?
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)
