I havnt had any problems either.  I have a legit copy of windows though.  I heard they are scheming to crash pirate copies of XP, from an unreliable source though.

there's ya problem, you using toolbars from a 3rd party........

that is what it looks like, if  my Yahoo is downloading stuff auto for you........

While I havent had a problems direct with ie7, and after i upgraded my vid drivers to play HL ep1, every vid i DL from the AH film thread is dark and tinted red!!

any thots?

IE7 doesn't have to run on all types of hardware. It doesn't interact with ANY hardware. The OS does. IE7 just has to flawlessly interact with the OS, both made by the same people. If they can't make their own browser properly function inside their own OS, well they're in trouble.

And we know they can, as that's what they forced on people before the anti-trust lawsuit, way back.

Shotgun, try re-installing your video drivers. I've had the oddest things corrupt my video drivers before.

If that's not it, check your video card properties, and make sure nobody set any color correction and what-not.

Barring that, it could just be a well-timed coincidence, and that your monitor is starting to die. (maybe, I don't know)

Installed ie7

Had to install another pos update for pinnacle's studio and it hung.
Took 2 hours of reading message boards to find out that it was some of the "new" ie7 features for managing add on's, phishing and pop ups that was hanging the install . Closed them off et voila the thing loaded .

Its proves how interlocked some programs are these days.
BTW no one knows which one was holding up the install. (or at least htey didn't yesterday), and for that matter the folks at pinnacle didn't have a clue from the looks. It was some egghead on a board who was aware of what plug ins that pinnacle was using who came up with the answer.

I will say though that you start poking around ie7 and it does tell you a lot about what is installed .

I have too many problems with FireFox to use it.  And it is not really FireFox I have trouble with, but with the Sun Java crap.  I installed it once, and will never do that again.  Had too many problems with too many sites crashing both FireFox and IE after that.

Had to re-install the OS to get back to a stable system again.  No thanks.  

And anyone allowing MS to automagically install updates is just asking for trouble.

Pinnacle studio version 10.7
They use a program called pixie which uses tcp type connections.

Now there is a racket , I think I must spend 2 to 3 hours of install/upgrades for every hour I use the program.

this isnt a Diss or even a wide arse remark

I find that interesting though as I have more problems with Explorer then I do with FF

Like right now for example.

the AH site is suffering a bit of Lag.
And while its lagging both browsers

but its 4 times as bad with explorer then FF.
For example  under explorer I wanted to go from a thread in the Oclub to just the Main O' Club page and its hanging up.

Under FF I went from the O'club. To the general forums main listing. to Harware and software and one other thread before I came to this thread to post this and it under explorer it Finally just went to  the O'club main page

Same computer, two separate browsers running the same time.
Actually Explorer had a head start

From what you have said in the time Ive been here, You dont do alot of the things on the net alot. if not most of the rest of us do.
so to be fair our needs are probably different then yours for what we want to be able to do.

and vise verse

I agree though I never leave autoupdates on.

One question though. How do I get rid fo that annoying "Windows Security alert" Icon?
 and the little balloon that opens telling me what I already know..That its turned off telling me to click here to fix the problem.

I dont want to click there to fix the problem. Far as Im concerned that annoying little balloon  and the Windoze updates IS the problem
