Just to toss an idea out there. If you look at the Country Status thing, you discover that a lot of players aren't actually doing anything. I can understand going away for maybe 15 or 20 minutes to do something, but some people (including me) will set the AFK thing and leave expecting to come back, then never do. All that does is take up a spot someone else wants, especially in the Orange arena.

Setting a time limit for how long you can just sit in the Tower, O'Club, Hanger, ect without doing anything would open up spots being taken up by dumpers like me. After the time limit runs out, the person is disconnected from the arena.
This would also get rid of the squatters that go AFK over night just in case their country wins the war. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, really. :D

Nice idea but it only needs to be turned on when the full arena balancing kicks in.
Easy in-game again.

I think this is a good idea. Perhaps if you are idle for more than 10 minutes or so and not deployed, it would boot you to the lobby or something.

10 minutes is too short. I've spent way more then that waiting for a mission to launch or planning stratagy for an event.

You'd also need to include kicking guys sitting in a gun position trying to avoid being kicked. It would suck to find afk folks sitting in the guns on a task group or field.

That was in my original thought, but I wasn't sure of the reaction it'd get.

I think this is a great idea...

Not only does going afk for long periods of time take away a slot for someone else... but it porks the ENY for those that are actually still in the arena and fly'n.

I'd love to see this... but I'm not sure how to work it out.  But hey, nobody is sending me $15/month, so I don't have to :aok

What's the harm in trying this idea out? I'm for it.
