Kill Shooter

Friendly fire / kill shooter (whatever it is) should be turned off,  so that if you are hit by someone on your side, you take damage.

That is what really happened during the WWII.  A bullet that hits something does damage.  It does not matter who fired the bullet , if it hits something it does damage.   That should include AAA as well.

That would turn the MA into a complete mess. Think all of that dweeby 12yo 2weekers, shooting you and other greens either because
- itīs fun (LOL! got l333t skillz!)
- they can
- they donīt have a clue
- you did not follow their "orders"

So my opinion is a big NO!

Well, don't give credit for shooting your own team, take away perks, all of them if you hit your own team.  Give the two weeker there own arena.  Make that arena optional for paying members.

Kill shooter is off in SFO and other special events and it is not a problem.

Kill shooter off in SFO and Special Events is not the MA.  Anyone who begins griefing their own side can get booted right away by the moderators.  The MAs are too large for Moderators to constantly police this type of very bad behavior.  This isn't BF 1942 with 32 people and votekick and all that nonsense.  And despite the absence of all the scoring you indicate in those games, there are still those deranged few that get off by killing teammates and screwing their own side rather than play the game correctly.

Bottom line, I don't know why anyone would want this unless #1 they are constantly killshooting themselves (in which case you just need to be more careful), or #2 they want the option to display the bad behavior it is set to prevent (in which case, take your jerkdom elsewhere).  I will give you the benefit of the doubt and just say be more careful where you shoot, and it won't be a problem for you anymore.

Well 2weeker was not meant to be taken literal, more a  derogatory term for a certain type of players. Into which many paying customers fall.

You canīt compare SFO to MA. The people participiating in SEA, SFO ect are a minority of dedicated, disciplined players. Most players donīt participate in that kind of events. Therefore you have much less to worry about such things.

Taking away perks wont help much. Many players dont ever gain much, many players would happily throw away their few perks for the joy of hearing you curse.

As much as I would like it off the only way this could work is if the shooter got grounded for 10 minutes after killing a team mate....

Unfortunatly the world is full of potato peelers and that makes KS a requirement

I have never been killed by killshooter,  I am careful before pulling the trigger.  The purpose of my wish list post is for more realism.  Your two assumptions are totally off base.

I just think it totally unrealistic to fly through the type of AAA coming off our own field now and not take hits.  I think Killshooter should be switched off.  Someones bad behavior should and could be dealt with by AH.

I see your point and it's a good one, however, you did't lose the 10 kills the way the score is keep now,  you would lose the 300 perks.  Which askes the question; if the reason for the three different arenas was to represent different time periods and the aircraft of that time period, why any of the aircraft in any of the arenas are perked?

IMHO because

- some planes with superior performance were introduced very late / in little numbers during the respective periods

- some very deadly cannon planes like Tempest, 262 & F4U-C would clearly unbalance the arena. When the F4U-C was a non-perk plane, it was accumulating kills comparable to La7, Spit XVI & N1K combined today.

What about taking a little of the realism out. Its a game, if you want real life go and join the army or the airforce. There killshooter is off and you are dead. This is a game so get used to is.

I'd like to make a note that your friendly AA DOES do damage to you. Only the manned guns are unlethal to friendlies. Many a time I've been killed by flack while following an enemy contact over a friendly CV. I've taken off while an enemy was buzzing the field kicking up cows with his prop and taken cockpit hits as the ack sweeps the field.

You can test this by going offline and sitting a tall plane over top of a gun position and waiting for the drone to come around.

With Killshooter off...

MA becomes a big FFA with no order... you'll a have dweebs saying:

"Omg You took my uber kill...im gonna shoot you now!"  Then you'll shoot him back and it'll become a vicious circle....

KS off???? pffffttttt hell naw...
