Hard lockup!
« on: May 22, 2000, 04:28:00 PM »

Now I am having hard lock that stay for 25-45 sec after about 30 min play.
Sometimes it locks up the computer completly and I have to reboot the whole system.

It has been going on for about a week. No troubles before that. Not with connection or nothing.

It very frustrating to get in someones 6 and then get locked up! When I get back again I either dead or soon to be..

The game is because of this more or less unplayable and I will have no other option then to quit if I cant get any help with this.

I thing its somekind of computerbased problem, rather than a connection problem.

196 mb ram
celeron 500
asus tnt2 ultra 32 mb
dirext x 7a
SB pci 128

newest drivers on the system

Cpu temp is 57 degrees celcius on upstart and after 15 min its 67 and steady at this even after 1-2 hours on AH.

Free ram is 85 mb and while entering the AH
Main (in tower) I have 55 mb ram left.

Have altered monitor and videocards settings, but theres no change in memory usage, really (maybe 1-2 mb less for 1024 and 16bit colour).

Did you try a full uninstall-reinstall of AH ?

What about deleting that video file (someone fill excact name here please)

Are you sure DirectX is the LAST thing you installed on your System ?

Not ramdom, thats the problem, the first comes after about 20-30 min, the first usualy is locked for about 30-45 sec. then 15-20 min later, the sec one, a hardlock wich completly locks the puter up.

I will look into that agp support stuff.
