I'm on a quest and need a little help. My mother was born and raised
in England. Married my dad and came to the USA after WW2.
Now....she always told me about an older brother who was a RAF
Sgt Pilot . He was shot down over the channel and died.
From my AirWarror days I remember someone saying somthing
about a wall decediated to those pilots killed in the BOB.
In my old age I kinda want to find out if he in fact was a my mother
said. I don't think she would make it up. After all.....she never said
they were related to the Queen Mother.
Anyway,,,any ideas ?

Thanks

The outside of the monument is lined with bronze plaques listing all the airmen who took part in the Battle on the Allied side.[/b]

Go here:

If you know your uncle's initials, leave a space between them in the initials area, and don't use periods.

Try to specify the year (if known), especially if it's a common last name. You can of course always just put in 1939 to 1945 - well worth a try.

If the results say your uncle's remembered on the Runnymede memorial, it likely means he did in fact come down into the sea and was never found.

Hope this helps.

... missions were to be met by the commitment of alerted swarms of fighters, composed of Me 109's and Fw 190's, that were strategically based to protect industrial installations. The inferior capabilities of these fighters against the Mosquitoes made this a hopeless and uneconomical effort. 1.JD KTB

Good morning.
Thanks for the help.
Here's what I've got. My mother was born in Uxbridge in 1921.
Her fathers name was Thomas Clemison Divorty.
Her mother was Anne Mary Divorty formerly Bramble.
The pilots first name was Edward.
Now it gets sticky. He may have a different last name.
I think my mother said he was either her moms son by a previous
encounter or the fathers son from a previous encounter.
Thats all folks......
I'm going to go through the sites you sent me now.
Thanks again for all your help.

Found a SGT G W Brimble and SGT J J Brimble. No Bramble or Divorty.
Checked my mothers birth certificate and its defently Bramble. The "i's"are
pretty distinct.....the "a" can't be an "i".
