How about a litte shading?
« on: November 26, 2006, 09:33:15 PM »
How about a little pixel shading or bloom effect to apply to the tracer rounds, so they look a bit more "glowy" than just "white"?

Not so fancy and glowy like IL2/FB tracers, which you can see out for miles, but still a little glowy feeling would help the trigger happy folks a lot more satisfied when they let 'er rip.

Would this be too much of a resource hog? I hope not..

We have tracers? :D
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

lol, I have to agree with some of Saxman’s sarcasim, but the tracers are much better in the lastest version. However, I find them lacking some depth perception. A lot of times the tracers in HTC are barely visible. Having super visible tracers would make for an enjoyable gamming experience.

My computer is almost 4 years old (with a Radeon 9800 Pro) and I plan to upgrade in the near future, so it might be just my system.:p

bloom effects in all games ive seen have absolutely sucked, and ive ended up turning it off.... i dont see the big fuss about bloom and HDR lighting.
