Agreed! Our current cat just showed up to our door one day. It is the nicest cat, but still brings home some of the largest rats I have ever seen.
It even decimated the squirrel population in our area. That's both Flying and Standard Ground squirrel. I have no idea how she would get ahold of the flying squirrels. But she used to always leave the flat little rudder tails on our doorstep.
But I think she's slipping. I saw the first squirrel in the distance on our property for the first time in 3 years.
LMAO Yup.
Other then the dogs and the cats. And for a while when we had a duck.
(long but amusing story I think I've told before)
I couldt tell you the last time I saw a "living" or about to die mammal or bird in my back yard.
By about to die I mean like the one night I saw the 3 cats sitting in a circle
and was wondering what the hell they were doing.
Upon closer inspection I saw they had a mouse they were playing with.
which ever way the mouse tried to run one cat would paw at it causing it to run in a different direction where one of the other cats would then in turn do the same thing. and so on and so forth.
The next day there was a dead mouse outside the door.
Ok occasionally a stray cat. but they usually dot get to hang around very long. An never the same cat twice
the only problem is the cats kill something and bring it home.
Then the dogs go out and pick it up and try to bring it inside.
One Saturday morning I hear my son yell "EWWWWWWE!" Followed by a bunch of cuss words aimed at the dogs
Seems one of the dogs brought a dead rat inside and dropped in on the floor in my sons bedroom where he proceeded to step on it when he got out of bed.
LOL
