absolutely getting it, already have AEP, FB, PF... this has the Pe2 update and the '46 planes like the Ta183

This is the last of the Il2 series until the completely new series comes out.  One of the best games on the market.

Next years' "Storm of War: Battle of Britain" will be another giant leap forward.

its impossible. its not even released in europe yet, let alone North America. Date of Release is early-mid December, later in North America. It will include Il-2 FB+AEP+PF+PE-2+SOM+46' 229 flyable and 300+ planes in total, as well as added bonuses like 450 page .pdf manual, and several videos regarding SOW:BOB, all in all on 2 DVDs. Copy protection and bounty system not verified yet.

so if you are  first time buyer of IL2 and your first purchase is the 46 game, will all the previous IL2 versions be included? or do you have to buy all these seperately?

all versions will be included

up to 4.07M (Pe-2 4.05M / Manchuria 4.06M  / '46 4.07M) - 4.08M will come later

I could careless about the 'wunderwaffe' crap but have pre-ordered the complete edition just to keep up with the rest of the folks I fly with and to keep some money flowing to Oleg...

Incidentally, any FB Bf 109 pilots (4.05M) interested in organized flying (Forgotten Skies / Scorched Earth: Xtreme) 4./JG 53 is looking pilots to join us in various online wars.

This Friday Forgotten Skies launches Phase 1 - Normandy Campaign. Any one interested in flying with us just let me know. Missions start at 21:00 EST.

We have a temporary forum up here:

4./JG 53 'Pik As' Forum

Just pop in over there or PM here for more info...

A 450 .pdf manual isn't what I'd call a bonus to to each his own.  I dunno if I'll get the game, I haven't been a fan of the other versions.  And my computer is ooooold.

SysReqs:

Pentium III or AMD Athlon 1.0 GHz
512MB RAM
64MB DirectX 9.0 video card
DirectX 9.0 compliant sound card

Ya think that's just a little low-balled?

Yep getting it just to make sure that one other flight sim builder other than Hitech is still in business in the near future.
