« on: November 29, 2006, 06:36:30 PM »
Wow! A definite blue norther hit Texas today. It was almost 80* at 2 pm. Now at 6:30pm, winds from the North at 40mph, rain and 38*. Looking for freezing rain, snow and a low of 25*.
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111110ne.

Now, a homage to Johnny Carson:

It's so cold...

HOW COLD IS IT???

It's so cold, I saw HiTech using Skuzzy's beard as a hand warmer!

Yeah, I didn't hear about the cold front until last night. I stopped by Lowe's and picked up a roll of plastic and some duct tape to cover my wellhouse. It was dark when I got home last night so I put it off til after work today hoping the storm would be late getting here. Well, it was early and I had to work an hour late.:furious

I tried taping some plastic over the door in 40mph winds for about 5 min then said "screw this". It was too cold and wet for the tape to stick so I rolled the plastic up and shoved it in the cracks around the door. Hopefully the spaceheater will keep it warm enough for tonight.

Started snowing around 5 or 6 last night, continued through the night and stopped at 2 or 3 this afternoon.  Good times.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHOENIX HAS ISSUED A FREEZE
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 9 AM MST THURSDAY.

A STRONG COLD LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST NEAR THE 4
CORNERS TODAY. THIS RESULTED IN WINDS GUSTING TO AROUND 30 MPH IN
PORTIONS OF SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA INCLUDING THE GREATER PHOENIX AREA.

THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST AWAY FROM ARIZONA ACROSS
NEW MEXICO RESULTING IN DECREASING WIND BY LATE THIS EVENING AND
OVERNIGHT TONIGHT.

ALTHOUGH SOME BREEZINESS FROM THE NORTH AND NORTHEAST IS EXPECTED TO
LINGER TONIGHT...THE WIND WILL BE DECREASING...AND THERE WILL BE
PLENTY OF LOCATIONS WHERE THE WIND DROPS OFF ENOUGH FOR TEMPERATURES
TO DROP BELOW FREEZING IN THE MUCH COLDER AND VERY DRY AIR. IN
ADDITION...COLDER WIND SHELTERED AREAS WILL DROP WELL BELOW FREEZING
INTO THE 20S. AS A RESULT..

A FREEZE WARNING IS IN EFFECT TONIGHT FROM 1 AM MST /MIDNIGHT PST/ TO
9 AM MST /8 AM PST/ THURSDAY. A FREEZE WARNING WILL LIKELY HAVE TO
BE ISSUED AGAIN FOR THURSDAY NIGHT. IN FACT...AREAS THAT STILL HAVE
SOME BREEZINESS LINGERING TONIGHT WILL BE COLDER THURSDAY NIGHT IN
LIGHT WIND TO NEAR CALM AIR.

A FREEZE WARNING MEANS SUB-FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE LIKELY. BRING
FROST SENSITIVE PLANTS INDOORS AND PROTECT OTHER FROST SENSITIVE
PLANTS.

Does this mean more time recording originals and letting us be privy to them here??

Oh goody!
