Hit or hit and do damage?
Try offline and use the Tiger and T-34 to practice on.
You can move around it to attack different sides of it and also get closer or farther to practice at different ranges.
You can also target different parts of the tank to see where the weaker armour is so you can hit it and do damage instead of watching your rounds bouonce off them.

also, are you zooming in? push the "z" button for zoom and then the"[" and "]" to zoom in and out. this will also show what round you are using AP, HE or SMK.

Are you raising and lowering your guns (whichever is needed)? You'll see puffs of dirt where your shells are hitting. If they go too far lower the barrel. If they're too short raise it. After a while you'll get a pretty good feel for range just by sight.

flyboy97, check this out. It can't hurt and possibly might help.
