But it is a very good flight sim... And boy it looks looks great, if it only had large multi player arenas like the old MA here.

that video is sick! great song too. the quote "if i was in World War II they'd call me Spitfire!" is, i believe, from Rage Against the Machine.

if you could take the graphics from IL2, and combine that with the flight model/data and arena set-up from AHII, i think i would wet myself. it might eat my vidcard for lunch though; not the pee, but the graphics.

I play it quite a bit.

AHII's flight model is as accurate as it can be. That's good enough for me.
Get a realistic sound pack. Then you'll have realistic sounds.
IL-2s sounds, especially the engine sounds are far from realistic. The engine noise for every plane is the same with the pitch and tone mixed up.

No need for Fanboi'ism - both AH and FB are great games and very little is 'real' about either of them. Fly the one you like.

Gee, glad to see you have access to our source code.  But you must not be able to read it, because if you did, then you would clearly know the flight model is based on physics.
Would appreciate it if you would stop telling lies about our product.

Oh SNAP!

While there are deficiencies in any computer simulated flight model (as the saying goes, if you build the perfect simulator you end up with the real plane), I have found that the AH flight model is both detailed, and fairly all encompassing.

When put up against several 'big name' flight sims, AH tends to amaze me on a constant basis.
