Il-2 is the best at Making jaw dropping graphics work with frame rate, (except for AH that is;) ). BUT DONT BUY UBISOFTS BLAZING ANGELS!!!! IT IS AN ARCADE GAME THAT IS BUILT FOR A GAMEPAD!!! I was confused and thought it was a IL-2 Battle of britain and bought it on a spur of the moment when I saw the UBISOFT logo.

Be advised the rumor is that the Complete Edition ships with SecuRom 7. SecuRom isn't as bad as Starforce but can be a real bugger for some folks even though they run no emulation software.

I had problems running FEAR Combat, which was a free game due to SecuRom. If you have already pre-ordered don't fret as there are fixes. I won't post them here - they would probably get Skuzzinated anyway. Just check SimHQ or the UBI forums.

I still have my plaque too, showed it to a few people and they just get this slightly concerned, vacant look about 'em and wander off as quick as they can

BTW, it was KG200, I think you are mixing us up with some of those other leather clad weirdos from JG3.(no offence guys, notice I said 'other')

I miss the old squad nights too, it still amazes me that a game can bring together all these folks from wildly differant backgrounds and turn them into friends you've never met.

Thats right...it was III/JG2 wasnt it? there was a three there somewheres Im sure.
To be on the KG200 roster at all those guys had to be some pretty dubious characters, so 'theft' probably isnt the right term.......more like 'problem dispersal' I would think

It's all good anyway, there never was any hard feelings towards guys who left for other squads, or for the squads they ended up in, they just spread the KG200ness around a bit.

IL2 FM is weak to say the least. and the russian treatment of the browning .50 cal is equivalent to intentional ignorance. But the atmospheric "feel" of the game and the graphics are stunning. Thats why I play IL2.

well... I don't get it..

There was nothing but filthy air combat and furballing in that video ... everyone knows that is boring newbie stuff and the real excietment is getting together with 30 of your closest buds and sneaking into an undefended base and bombing the fighter hangers so that no nasty fighters can come up and furball around in the game.

They coulda shown one of those cool missunnzz.
