We didn't study it that much in high school, I remember Mr Biel talking about all of that in one block.

I think it has to do with separation of church and state, some black suit wearing guys probably figures that if they do away with one, they better do away with the other too before another anti pledge of allegiance man starts his crap.

Just for grins and giggles you might want to look up how to spell immigrant ;)

It comes from the word "immigrate" which essentially means, as stated by dictionary .com:

–verb (used without object) 1. to come to a country of which one is not a native, usually for permanent residence.
2. to pass or come into a new habitat or place, as an organism.
–verb (used with object) 3. to introduce as settlers: to immigrate cheap labor.

Like you mentioned though, you might want to learn another language
:D

I remember Social Studies, I had one last year (in high school.)  We had a cool teacher, so no one learned a thing.  I would bet $50 over 3/4 the school wouldn't qualify, even without the new added bit.  I once convinced a girl that Berlin was the capital of Europe, because I showed her a WWII map and showed her how big Germany was, therefore it must be the most importent, also in Europe they use the word "countries" like we use "states," and thats why the "states" were so small.  So... ya, good americans they would (and do) not make.

HUH?????????????

Seperation of church and state?  There is a HUGH amount more in those documents then just seperation of church and state!

Might wanna read em!  Especially the Preamble!

And you might want to read up on WHY no quatering of troops was a part of the Bill of Rights!

Things were a mess back then!
It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.

I know why theres no quartering of troops, I also know why we have the right to keep and bear arms, I've read the preamble to the US constitution, and things are more of a mess now then they were back then.
My point with my post was that we didn't study it in high school, we actually spent more time on why Japan bombed pearl harbor, and why we went into Vietnam, then anything about US govt or how it works.

It would be real cool if there was a document of the seperation of church and state to begin with LMAO

If there was

It would probably hidden along with the other documents giving oversensative people the right to not be offended

And Welfare milkers the right to entitlement of free money for doing nothing

;)

How about instead of knocking the teachers you knock the idiots who figured that teaching a test would be the best way for no child to be left behind and that kids should completely concentrate on math and science to the exclusion of all else?

Why does the United States have 3 branches of government?

To maintain a system of "checks and balances" to insure no one part of the government has absolute control --IE prevent abuse of power. AKA "separation of powers".

Name 2 rights that are only for US citizens

The right to run for US office.
The right to vote.

Name 2 cabinet-level positions

Attorney General
Secretary of State

Name 1 important ideo found in the Declaration of Independence

Right to abolish the government if it threatens the natural rights of the people.

What does the Constitution do?

Protects the basic rights of Americans.

Sun

Somehow I doubt Led Zeppelin ever did a minuet.
