My 'home made' AH gas pedal
« on: December 03, 2006, 02:18:45 AM »
Some dude, bob2million or something, asked my about my "home made" throttle.. lmao, nothing home made about it.

Take an old brokeback joystick, I use an old one of these:

1. Plug in
2. Put on floor near foot
3. Map trottle to 2nd joystick in AH, calibrate.
4. Move thottle with toe / foot / 3rd arm, whatever you got.

My only question is... why?

I find it much easier to have throttle control on the stick by my hands. I'm stumbling around enough, as it is, with learning these rudder pedals, I'd not want to have to remove my toes from the rudder peds just to change the throttle. Then, knowing me, I'd forget to change the throttle back (lol).

For me, my left arm / hand is jacked up from an accident and useless for much.. for someone else?, don't know. Maybe they have a broken arm / finger or are too busy stroking to use both hands for gaming.

I mostly wanted to dispel the idea I made some type of AH specific tool, people keep asking me about / sending me PMs wanting pics or whatever... I think someone got the idea I made rudder pedals, not a gas pedal.

Ah, that clears it up a tad! You ever thought of breaking that bar/button part off that wraps around the throttle, for better access?

So that the throttle is sticking off the edge of the base of the stick?
