it would be SO nice to have simple rudder controll of the CV. Keep everything the way it is with the waypoints, just have a rudder indicator from 40 degrees port to 40 degrees starboard that we can use to avoid bombers and navigate around islands more realistically=)   akELFY

I've been advocating for full helm & speed control for some time now.  Include a timer that would return the TG to its plotted course if no manual course adjustments are made within the specified time limit.  For speed, give the helm officer simple descrete settings, such as All-stop, Ahead-slow, Ahead-Standard, Ahead-Full, and Ahead-Flank.

In a somewhat related issue, I'd also like to see all ship and field guns with the option to be man-able.  In otherwords, guns that are currently auto-only would still be on auto when no-one was manning them, but would show up on the Ship and Field Gun choices in the hanger.  A player spawning into them would take the gun out of auto-mode, allowing the player to direct and fire it instead.  This would give fleets more offensive fire power, especially when the big guns are sunk or destroyed.

At the last con Hitech said this won't happen. You won't ever get direct control over the CV, because it's not a vehicle. It's not set up in the game code that way.

He did, however, say it would be possible for the CV commander to press the "evasive" command and the fleet could zig-zag in a predefined way along its existing waypoints, if such a thing were to be included.

have its so u click

Evasive 1, evasive 2, evasive 3

this way the bomber guy never knows wich way ur going to turn. If we just have ONE evasive command then he will know were the cv will go every time!
