"Ugly" text - what GeForce setting to fix?
« on: November 17, 2001, 11:50:00 PM »
I spent a wunnerful day and a half trying to get Ghost Recon to work on my machine - which I wasn't able to do, BTW. As a result of swapping drivers, versions of DX, etc. around I managed to screw up a bunch of stuff (yes, I'm returning GR on Monday). Everything's back to normal, except that the text for plane icons and the info area (where it shows frame rate, etc.) looks like hell now - can't hardly read it. It looks like its doing some weird dithering, but I'm not sure anymore which setting to un-do. Anyone got a clue - or a GeForceTweak settings file?

Have you tried adjusting the texel alignment?
Here we put salt on Margaritas, not sidewalks.

I think it is Antistropic Filtering also.  I had the same problem.  Turned ASF off and now it's fine.
